At museums across Scotland, a suggested admission policy is in place, offering free entry for residents of Scotland. This initiative aims to encourage local residents to explore the rich cultural heritage of their own country without any financial barrier. Scotland residents can visit museums free of charge, allowing them to delve into the captivating exhibits and collections that showcase the nation's history, art, and culture.

Our Policy also have Pay what you wish, allowing local visitors to contribute an amount of their choice for admission. This flexible approach recognizes the value of the museums and encourages residents to support their local cultural institutions based on their individual means.

For visitors from outside Scotland, admission fees are based on age categories. Elderly visitors aged 65 and above are eligible for free admission, recognizing their invaluable contributions and ensuring they can enjoy the museum experience fully.

Children, too, benefit from free admission, fostering a sense of wonder and curiosity among young minds. By offering complimentary entry to children, museums in Scotland provide an inclusive environment for families to explore and learn together, creating memorable experiences that ignite a lifelong love for culture and learning.

This approach makes museums accessible to all, regardless of residency or age, and promotes Scotland's commitment to inclusivity and cultural appreciation. Whether you are a Scotland resident, an elderly visitor, or a family with children, Scotland's museums warmly welcome you to embark on a journey of discovery through the treasures of art, history, and heritage
